Veengas was born in Shikarpur city of Sindh – now is based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. She earned graduation degree in political science and Master in History. She has been writing in journalism since 2000 and started work as a journalist in 2008. She picks up pen on Political and Human Rights issues. Veengas has interviewed top personalities. Currently, she works for regional besides contributing English newspapers, worked as assistant editor (honorary) at regional English magazine. She writes feature stories, reporting, daily news analysis and has ability to work on current issues from local to international. Despite, difficulties and challenges, she has never given up and always tried to reveal the truth and writing for justice. She has reported on sensitive issues especial monitories but her fearless attitude always gives voice to voiceless news. Veengas’ journalistic work always shakes the sleeping idols in society. Whenever, she reports stories and interviews all get attention because of her work on forced conversion, Assembly of Sindh, Pakistan has spoken on Forced-conversion Bill that’s her ability of commitment towards work which can bring change and generating discussion on media. She often goes in field to cover stories and she has been awarded some fellowships. She does poetry as well Pen name “Helena.”
